Susan Larsen teaches Russian literature and cultural studies at the University of California, San Diego. Her recent publications include articles on gender and national identity in contemporary Russian film. She is currently completing a book on girls' culture in late imperial Russia and is looking forward to her next project, a book on identity crises in post-Soviet cinema.
