Maria Madorskaya has studied at the Ulianovsk State Pedagogical University, and at the University of Louisville. Her current interests include film noir, screenwriting, and film sound. She is planning to write a dissertaion provisionally entitled: "Theory and Practice of Film-Theater: Screen Adaptations of Anton Chekhov's plays in Russia and Beyond."
