Ekaterina Turta is in her first year of the PhD program in Slavic Languages and Literatures at the University of Pittsburgh. She received her B.A. in Russian Philology from Tyumen State University in 2009. She also holds an MA degree in Slavic Languages and Literatures from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The scope of her research interests include Russian émigré literature, 20th century Czech literature and Contemporary Russian cinema.
